Dorchester and The Local Area
West Dorset is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Tudor Cottage at the heart of Hardy Country is ideally situated close to splendid coastal and beautiful inland paths with spectacular views of the rolling green Wessex landscape, yet it is still convenient for both the A35 and A37.
We are close to the Jurassic Coast and many fine country houses and stunning gardens are within easy reach. You could go fossil hunting at Kimmeridge, try your hand at mackerel fishing from West Bay; enjoy Bridport’s vintage quarter; visit Thomas Hardy’s cottage.
